Edition: 10 Years, ppm: 80.5, aged: 5 years, Alcohol: 61%
Islay single malt Scotich whisky aged 5 years in oak casks, alcohol 61%.
In homage to Octomore Distillery, a hebridean tragedy of the Montgomerys and their long lost Islay distillery. This cult Islay spirit has now reached a landmark 10 yearsof age, adding layers of profound complexity to its iron fist of peat and the velvet glove of elegance and fruit for which the Bruichladdich stills are rightly famous. The world's most heavily peated whisky uses barley malted to an extraordinary 80.5 ppm. Distilled in Bruichladdich's tall, narrow-necked stills, it is a velvet glove round an iron fist.
