This unique château and parcel of vine have all of the qualities necessary to produce fine wines. The deep gravel soils and heavy clay subsoils are capable of producing good drainage in a wet vintage and holding in moisture during a heatwave.
Jose Sanfins is a world renowned wine maker who is enormously talented and profoundly kind. He has recently finished the renovation work on the winery which makes Château Chatelune perfectly reflect his character: efficient, attentive and welcoming.
Château Chatelune is a wine which is full bodied and round on the palate but that offers also the tender side of the appellation. The rounded tannins add a sexy backbone that leaves a wonderfully warm pleasing feeling on the palate. The elegant merlot gives the wine balance and perfectly complements the cabernet.
