Bodega Numanthia estate covers 83 hectares. On these sunny plots, the vineyards are planted far away from each other, not aligned in perfect rows. To survive the dry climate, the vines need a lot of space so that their roots can spread deep into the soil. But Bodega Numanthia vines are unique, not only in terms of their layout, but also by their age: 40% are over 70 years old, and the extraordinary 4.8 hectare plot of Teso de los Carriles includes a handful of vine stocks that are over 140 years old. The art of oenology involves extracting the very best from these incredible vines, especially the intense fruit aromas that are so specific to the Tinta de Toro grape, while shaping the elegance and structure of this designation. Although this approach to winemaking is shared by all three wines produced on the estate, each of them (Termes, Numanthia and Termanthia) has its own style and profile, sometimes vibrant and fruity, sometimes intense and powerful, but always elegant and refined.

Termanthia (iconic wine), is the ultimate expression of the Tinta de Toro. Crafted from vines reaching 150 years old, it delivers fruit intensity and impressive full body as well as elegance and complexity.  Inside each glass of Termanthia there is a century, a handcrafted perfection, and a haute couture style.

An extremely complex and rich wine. The nose is a sophisticated palette of aromas.
Mature fruit such as plum and picota cherry enhance notes of dried flowers, potpourri and
lavender. Also present are hints of sweet and black spices, pastry cream, nuts and
almonds. On the palate, the wine is elegant and velvety, with fine and concentrated aromas
that showcase the expression of the terroir of Teso de los Carriles. Perfectly balanced with
firm and silky tannins, it creates a smooth and full sensation on the palate. An ample
aromatic range of black fruit leads to a very persistent and complex final sensory
experience, with light notes of violet, pastry cream and acid strawberry.
