A beautiful wine with an even nicer price tag!
Khipu is a a beautiful Chilean range of wines with the varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. Khipu stands for the communication system developed by the Incas, consisting of a series of knotted cords. The Chasquis or messengers travelled in this way with a Khipu through the Central Valley of Chile, the origin of these wines.
This Merlot comes largely from selected vineyards in the Rapel Valley, which is known for its ability to produce soft, sweet red wines. Some grapes have also been added from the Curico, Maule and Aconcagua valleys to add an extra dimension to the final wine.
Dark violet color with reddish tones. Pleasant, complex nose with ripe black cherries, plums and earthy nuances. Mouth-filling, smooth with ripe, sweet fruit flavours of plums and currants. generous, long aftertaste. Beautiful in combination with white meat, grilled fish, stews or pasta.

Ageing: Part of the wine matures using French oak rods. Most matures in stainless steel tanks for 4 months.
