Château Lafon La Tuilerie is a hidden jewel upon 2 hectares of chalk soils, surrounded by the original garage wine Château Valandraud.
Château Lafon La Tuilerie is a super concentrated wine of which only 10,000 bottles are produced. Among other illustrious neighbors, the parcels of this estate also boast ChâteauFleur Cardinale.
Winemaker Pierre Lafon works on each parcel, each vine, day by day. Some vintages he doesn't hesitate to delete up to 50%, to around 20-30 hectoliters per hectare. This makes his wine one of the most concentrated wines in the region. THe vineyard is treated using the inspiration of organic producers and showing the greatest respect for ecology.
The wine has a thick violet robe, with lilac hints at the fringe. A ripe nose, with substantial notes of chocolate, toast, plums and summer, truffles. Velvety tannins on the palate with a beautiful minerality. The wine ends with notes of chocolate, coffee and praline.
